Get Your KY Medical Card (Certification)

After you're approved, you will receive your certification that will allow you to get a pardon for possessing marijuana (up to 8 oz) the same day.

Once the KY medical program goes live in January 2025, you will then be certified for your medical card for a full 60 days.

Is Medical Marijuana Legalized in Kentucky?

The Kentucky Medical Marijuana Program was officially signed into law in March 2023 and it is expected to be fully operational by January 2025.

This means that KY residents will be able to apply for their medical cards starting January 1st, 2025 and purchase cannabis products from dispensaries soon after.

In the meantime, you can schedule an appointment to get your certification for the executive order in Kentucky. This certification will allow you to be pardoned if you are caught with up to 8 ounces of marijuana, as long as it was purchased legally outside of KY in a recreational state. You will also be certified for a full 60-days once the KY medical program goes live in January.

Why Choose Green Health Docs for Your Medical Marijuanas Doctors in KY?

Expert Advice

Green Health Docs was founded by a team of pain medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgeons. We understand the challenges that patients face and the value that medical cannabis can provide.

Certification Experience

Our experience is unparalleled. We’ve certified more than 100,000 patients in the US — and thousands more in Kentucky in recent months.

Doctor Evaluation

Our KY doctors are state-licensed and Board Certified. When you schedule an appointment with one of our physicians, you can depend on the same level of care you would get from your family doctor.

The Kentucky Medical Marijuana Program was officially signed into law but the program will not be fully operational January 2025.

In the meantime, you can book an appointment to get pre-registered as a KY medical cannabis patient through Green Health Docs.  We will then contact you once the state registry opens so that we can complete your certification and registration.

We won't know the exact procedure until the state medical program officially begins. But the process will most likely involve a telemedicine visit with a provider followed by online registration with the state to get your card.

At this time you can schedule a pre-registration appointment with one of our patient care specialists to make sure you're qualified and fully ready once the state program officially opens.

After the program goes live we will be contacting all of our pre-registered patients so that we can complete your certification and state registration.

You will need a valid photo ID and if possible, proof of your qualifying medical condition such as medical records, a letter from your doctor, or prescription pill bottles.

If you don't have medical documentation, we can schedule you a PRE-VISIT CONSULTATION where you can speak with another one of our providers to obtain medical documentation first. If you're interested in doing so, please call 240-356-1000.

Only a licensed medical marijuana provider can determine if you qualify for the program, so we cannot guarantee your approval. However, if you do not get approved by our doctor you will receive a FULL refund!

We want to make this process 100% RISK-FREE for you!
