You will need a valid photo ID and if possible, at least one form of proof of your medical condition such as medical records, pill bottles, office visit summaries, or a letter from your doctor.

If you don't have medical documentation, you can still get certified! Call or text us at 240-356-1000 so that we can schedule you with a doctor that can diagnose and then a doctor that can certify you. We do not charge extra for the diagnosis.

Once your telemedicine appointment is booked, you'll receive a confirmation email shortly after. This email will have the link to your intake form which is where you will fill out your medical information as well as upload your ID and any medical documentation you are able to provide.

The initial fee to be evaluated by our doctor is $200 payable by credit or debit.  The fee includes the visit with the doctor, help with the state application, medical marijuana education, and any other assistance needed throughout the process.  The state application fee is $30.

Only a licensed medical marijuana doctor can determine if you qualify for the program, so we cannot guarantee your approval. However, if you do not get approved by our doctor you will receive a FULL refund! A state-licensed medical marijuana doctor will examine you, review any medical documentation you are able to provide and assess your medical history. Appointments are typically about 10-15 minutes. We will also maintain your patient records and provide follow-up care as needed.

· Cancer

· Chronic / severe pain

· Crohn’s disease

· Epilepsy / intractable seizure disorder

· Glaucoma

· HIV / AIDS

· Muscle spasms

· Peripheral neuropathy

· Post-traumatic stress disorder

· Spasticity

· Admittance into hospice care

No, only doctors and medical professionals who have registered with the Montana medical marijuana program may issue certifications for cannabis.  All Montana doctors here at Green Health Docs are registered with the state to be able to issue certifications.

Yes. Veterans can obtain medical marijuana in the same way as any other patient at Green Health Docs. We are proud to help our veterans combat their medical conditions with medical marijuana!

Yes. Children (under the age of 18) can become medical marijuana patients in Montana. However, the child must have a parent or guardian register as his/her caregiver.

You’ll need to submit a medical cannabis patient application to the state online along with a valid Montana ID or driver’s license, a medical marijuana recommendation issued by a doctor, a passport-style photo of yourself, and the state application fee of $30.

If your application is approved by the state, you’ll receive your official card via postal mail within about 3-4 weeks.  Once you have your card you can immediately start accessing dispensaries and purchasing medical marijuana.

No. Insurance companies do not cover any costs associated with medical marijuana due to conflicts with federal law.

Registered cardholders have a default purchase limit of 1 ounce per day and 5 ounces total per month of marijuana flower or equivalent marijuana products.

Virtually all types of medical marijuana will be available at dispensaries in Montana including raw flower, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, topicals, transdermal patches, and more.  Seeds, clones, and other growing products will also be available.

Yes.  Registered cardholders who opt to grow their own medicine are allowed four (4) mature and four (4) seedling plants, with a maximum of eight (8) mature and eight (8) seedling plants per household if there are multiple cardholders.

A caregiver is a Montana resident aged 18 or over who is designated by a medical marijuana patient to be able to purchase and possess medical cannabis on behalf of the patient.  They are also designated to help dispense and administer medical cannabis for the patient.

Caregivers must submit a medical cannabis caregiver application to the state along with a valid Montana ID and the caregiver application fee of $30.

No, as a medical patient you are protected by HIPAA. Green Health Docs makes the privacy and security of our patients’ confidential information a top priority. No one will be able to find out your status as a medical marijuana patient unless you openly tell them or if you are administered a drug test for marijuana.

Yes. With the state being at will and there not currently being any legislation in place that protects medical marijuana patients in the workplace, medical cardholders can still be administered drug screenings and receive disciplinary action regarding the results of drug screenings. For this reason, we recommend making sure you are fully aware of your employer’s policy regarding drug screenings and medical marijuana before moving forward with the process.

Yes, there are currently multiple states that accept Montana medical marijuana cards.  Because reciprocity laws differ from state to state and with each dispensary, we recommend contacting a dispensary in the state you’re interested in visiting to find out if they will accept your card.

You are required to be re-certified by a doctor once every year; the cost to renew is $150.  You will also need to renew your card with the state every year for $30.

Yes! You do not have to be seen by the same doctor each year. If you were certified by another medical marijuana doctor last year and would like to switch to Green Health Docs, we will be happy to take care of you!
