Have Questions About Delaware Medical Cannabis?

Delaware Medical Marijuana Certification Process

The certification process in Delaware is similar to many other medical states. Patients will need to be certified by a  licensed medical marijuana doctor first in order to apply with the state for a medical card.

  • 1
Schedule an appointment with a licensed medical marijuana doctor.
  • 2
Speak with the doctor to find out if you qualify.
  • 3
Obtain your online certification and apply with the state.
  • 4
Get your medical marijuana ID card and start purchasing at dispensaries!

The first step in getting your Delaware medical marijuana card is to be evaluated and certified by a state-licensed medical cannabis doctor.

It can sometimes be difficult for patients to find a doctor who will certify them. We currently offer online telemedicine visits that allow you to be seen by a medical cannabis doctor from the comfort and security of home, making the search for a physician easy for you.

If you believe that you have one of the qualifying medical conditions and have at least one type of proof, then you will most likely qualify. Our doctor can evaluate you, review any medical documentation you are able to provide, and issue your certification so that you can apply for your card.

After you’ve been approved by a Delaware medical marijuana doctor, your next step is to submit a medical cannabis patient application to the state.  To apply, you’ll need:

· A medical marijuana certification issued by a licensed cannabis doctor within the last 90 days.

· A valid Delaware ID or driver’s license.

· $50 application fee.

Our doctor will issue your certification form online the same day.  You will then be able to submit a medical marijuana patient application to the state along with the required documentation and $50 application fee.  If your application is accepted, you will receive your medical marijuana card via postal mail within 7-10 business days. Your card is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued, and you should renew your card at least 30 days prior to the expiration date. If you’re having trouble, the state can be reached for registration assistance at (302) 744-4749.
