Benefits of a Washington D.C. Medical Marijuana Card
Washington D.C. has a recreational marijuana program but there are still multiple reasons to go through the process of getting a medical marijuana card:
· Access to dispensaries. Only Washington D.C. residents with a valid medical marijuana card may access and purchase products from dispensaries. Those without a card must find unofficial “vendors” for marijuana instead, which involves many risks.
· Lower costs. Medical cardholders will not have to pay sales tax on marijuana products purchased from dispensaries. This typically makes the costs lower than going through the recreational program.
· Guidance from healthcare and industry professionals. As a medical patient, you will have access to the professional opinion of our doctors and staff as well as dispensary agents regarding what strains, forms, and dosages of marijuana may work best for you. This helps ensure you are getting the best possible treatment using medical marijuana.
