Little Rock Medical Card Requirements

Little Rock requires that patients looking to register for a medical marijuana card meet specific requirements.

You must be an Arkansas resident. There is no age requirement, however, patients under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to register as their caregiver.

To qualify, you must be diagnosed with one of the following state-approved medical conditions:

• Cancer
• Glaucoma
• Hepatitis C
• Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
• Tourette’s syndrome
• Crohn’s disease
• Ulcerative colitis
• Post-traumatic stress disorder
• Severe arthritis
• Fibromyalgia
• Alzheimer’s disease
• Cachexia or wasting syndrome
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Intractable pain lasting more than six (6) months
• Severe nausea
• Seizures / epilepsy
• Severe and persistent muscle spasms including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis

If you have a qualifying condition with medical documentation (such as medical records, pill bottles, office visit summaries, or a letter from a doctor stating your diagnosis), then you're ready to be seen by our doctor to get certified!
If you have a qualifying condition but DON'T have medical documentation, call or text us at 240-356-1000 so that we can schedule you with a doctor that can diagnose and then a doctor that can certify you. We do not charge extra for the diagnosis.

Our licensed marijuana doctor will evaluate you based on your current health condition, medical history, and any documentation you are able to provide as proof. If approved, we will then issue the written certification form needed to apply with the state as a patient within 24 hours.

(2) Be diagnosed with one of the state-approved qualifying medical conditions. You will need to have at least one form of medical proof of your diagnosis such as a prescription bottle, office visit summary, or a letter from your doctor.

(3) Be evaluated by an Arkansas state-approved medical marijuana doctor. Each doctor at Green Health Docs is registered with the state and can certify you for a medical marijuana card. Once approved, we'll issue your physician written certification the same day.

(4) Register with the Arkansas Department of Health. The next step after being certified by a doctor is to apply online with the Arkansas Department of Health. In order to apply, patients will need to have the signed physician written certification form and a state-issued identification card (such as a driver’s license).
